FAST Group participated in «Astana Build 2006: Building, Interior Design, Heating and Ventilation» exhibition, which had place in Astana from 17 to 19 of May. This expo offered us an opportunity to meet our partners, existing and future clients. Numerous stand visitors could ask questions, evaluate product samples and discuss cooperation issues with managers from the local office.

Over 350 companies participated in this expo, representing 20 countries. International Astana Build exhibition has become a meeting place for professionals in construction, civil engineering as well as in security and fire protection systems. The exhibition was located in the main Congress Hall and three adjacent halls of Alatau Sport Palace. From the very beginning the Group’s stand attracted a lot of attention. Apart from posters and PPE samples the stand was equipped with demonstration sets of the cutting edge fire detection systems.

FAST Group of Companies participated in 15th anniversary of Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition KIOGE 2007 October 2 – 5, 2007.

The Exhibition was dedicated to mining, processing, transporting of oil and gas, equipment, geophysical services, engineering, designing and other services of the sphere. The company presented full line of services and goods on the exhibition, offered by the Group. There was also opened a stand with range of personal protection equipments and latest winter wear as well as other products.

From April 12^th to 14^th, 2006, FAST Group participated in an annual exhibition “Atyrau Oil & Gas” taking place in the “oil capital of Kazakhstan”. The Group presented a wide spectrum of fire protection equipment, personal protective equipment and cable products on its stand. A team of experienced staff, as well as some of the directors were constantly at the stand to satisfy any interest of the visitors.

In spite of the moderate scale, Atyrau exhibition plays quite an important role in business development in the region. Having about 150 participants, it gathers representatives from not only the major local companies, but also large western organizations.

Within 15 years KIOGE Exhibition became a worldwide known (UF recognized) oil industry exhibition, one of the most prestigious international field marketplaces for companies dealing with mining, transporting petroleum, infrastructure of oil and gas projects.

A two days conference is conducted as a part of KIOGE 2008 with participation of almost 60 government and industry ministries representatives of Kazakhstan and the countries cooperating with region, Kazakh and foreign oil and gas companies.

From January 29th to 31st FAST Group participated in the international security exhibition Intersec 2006 which was held in Dubai. The exhibition was an excellent opportunity to meet our partners, suppliers and potential customers. The visitors could speak with our local staff and also discuss issues relevant to CIS market with FAST Engineering’s Technical Director from Almaty.

Project on Quality Management system development and implementation according to ISO 9001:2000 international standard requirements was fulfilled in FAST Group in seven months. In October of 2005 Group management took decision to pass certification audit in “Russian Register”, Russian certification body. On the 4^th of November, 2005 the Group successfully passed certification audit of Quality Management system for the conformity to ISO 9001:2000 standard requirements.

Unique tests of automatic gas fire suppression system were conducted in September 2005 in Kazakhstan. A complex fire suppression system designed and installed by FAST Group in 2003-2004 based on ecologically safe, nontoxic clean agent FE-13 was tested at the functioning gas pipeline compressor station.

From 4 to 7 April 2006 «FAST Engineering, Moscow» took part in the major international exhibition Safety, Security and Fire Protection – MIPS 2006, which was held in Moscow. The venue was organized for the 12^th time uniting over 500 participants. Several officials from Ministries of Civil Defence and Internal Affairs, State Customs and City Government took part in the opening ceremony.

Being an integrator and official distributor of a number of world’s main brands in the area of fire detection and suppression, FAST Engineering on its stall presented many samples of equipment from Kentec, Hochiki, Ansul, LPG, MEDC and some others.

Fire safety systems have been considered to be one of the most vital components installed within the Burj Dubai's MEP services. How is this issue being tackled?

Dubai. Over the past year there has been an increased focus on the types and integrity of fire safety systems that are installed in high-rise buildings.

As architects design bigger and more complex buildings like the Burj Dubai, incorporating fire safety into their design through the use of fire performance products is becoming ever more important.
